Not long after Qualcomm launched QC3.0 fast charging technology, Yingjixin Technology, a leader in highly integrated mobile power solutions, released the world's first all-in-one fast charging mobile power single-chip solution IP5318. This chip uses a number of industry-first technologies. When used with adaptive voltage protocols such as Qualcomm QuickCharge3.0 or type-c, it can allow smart mobile device manufacturers to shorten the charging time of many products. After developers adopt adaptive charging technology, they can significantly shorten charging time and improve charging efficiency. Charging IP5318 has a constant current and constant voltage lithium battery charging management system with a synchronous switching structure that supports high-voltage charging. It is specially optimized for 5V, 9V and 12V charging voltages and can automatically match different charging voltage specifications.
When the battery voltage is less than 3V, 400mA trickle charging is used; when the battery voltage is greater than 3V, it enters constant current charging, with a maximum constant current charging current of 4.8A; when the battery voltage is close to the set battery voltage, it enters constant voltage charging. After charging is completed, if the battery voltage is 0.1V lower than the set battery voltage, restart battery charging.
IP5318 adopts switching charging technology, with a switching frequency of 500kHz, a maximum charging current of 4.8A, and a charging efficiency of up to 97%, which can shorten the charging time by 3/4.
Ip5318charger will automatically adjust the charging current to adapt to adapters with different load capacities, ensuring that the adapter is not pulled or hung.
IP5318 does not support simultaneous charging and discharging. During the charging process, the output discharge port will be closed to prevent the input high voltage from damaging the charged device.
Boost
IP5318 integrates a synchronous switching converter system that supports high-voltage output, supporting the output of different voltages such as 5V, 9V, and 12V, with load capacities of 5V3.1A, 9V2.0A, and 12V1.5A respectively.
The switching frequency is 375KHz. The built-in soft-start function prevents faults caused by excessive inrush current during startup. Integrated output over-current, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-temperature and other protection functions ensure stable and reliable operation of the system.
The output current of the boost system can be automatically adjusted with the temperature to ensure that the IC temperature is below the set temperature.
