If they enter the fast charging mode directly, it will affect the service life of the lithium-ion battery or damage the battery. In order to prevent this phenomenon, there is a pre-charging concept.

 

Lithium-ion batteries are generally pre-charged before leaving the factory, and users do not need to do any pre-charging. Generally speaking, it is misleading by merchants to say that it takes 10 hours to charge for the first time. It doesnt matter. The lithium-ion battery system is a chemical power system. Pre-charging is to activate the chemical substances so that the battery can really generate electricity. Without this pre-charging process, the battery is still a semi-finished product and not a real battery.

 

In practical applications, no one can distinguish the boundary between pre-charging and formal charging of lithium-ion batteries. In fact, the chemical reaction of charging has a starting process. When charging lithium-ion batteries, the constant current is too large, which may damage the battery, so pre-charging is performed first to activate the active substances first, and then charge the battery normally.
