Let's first talk about the cover of square power batteries and the welding application of the cover.
As a mainstream square 4LR44 battery, there are many processes on the cover that require laser welding. Let's first look at the important components of the cover.
1. Sealing nail: To prevent the electrolyte from absorbing moisture in the air, place the sealing nail in the receiving groove so that there is an uneven annular gap between the sealing nail and the receiving groove; the sealing nail is positioned and fixed in the receiving groove by spot welding through the second laser, and the second protective gas is blown to the action point of the second laser; the sealing nail and the cover plate are welded along the annular gap by the second laser
2. Explosion-proof valve: The explosion-proof valve of the 4LR44 battery is a thin-walled valve body on the 4LR44 battery sealing plate. When the internal pressure of the 4LR44 battery exceeds the specified value, the explosion-proof valve body ruptures to prevent the 4LR44 battery from bursting (burst). The safety valve (function: control the pressure not to exceed the specified value) has a clever structure, and this process has extremely strict requirements on the laser (LASER)
welding process. Before the use of continuous (Continuity) laser welding, the welding of 4LR44 battery explosion-proof valves was all done by pulse laser welding, and continuous sealing welding was achieved by overlapping and covering the welding points, but the welding efficiency was low and the sealing was relatively poor. Continuous laser welding can achieve high-speed and high-quality welding, and welding stability, welding efficiency and yield can be guaranteed.
3. Pole: Pole ears are usually divided into three materials. The positive electrode of the 4LR44 battery uses aluminum (Al) (Al) material, and the negative electrode uses nickel (Ni) (Ni) material or copper-plated nickel (Ni-Cu) material. In the manufacturing process of power batteries, one of the links is to weld the 4LR44 battery pole ear and pole together. In the production of secondary batteries, it needs to be welded together with another aluminum safety valve. Welding must not only ensure a reliable connection between the pole ear and the pole, but also require a smooth and beautiful weld.
4. Soft connection: The positive and negative soft connections for the power 4LR44 battery top cover with creases include rectangular positive soft connection sheets and negative soft connection sheets. The positive soft connection sheets are made of multi-layer aluminum foil superimposed and welded, and the negative soft connection sheets are made of multi-layer T2 pure copper foil superimposed and welded. The positive soft connection sheets and the negative soft connection sheets are provided with a first crease groove and a second crease groove that run through the entire soft connection sheet. The first crease groove is set in the middle of the positive soft connection sheet and the negative soft connection sheet, and the second crease groove is set on one side of the first crease groove. The other side is provided with a welding joint distribution area, and multiple welding joints are provided on the welding joint distribution area.
The laser 4LR44 battery explosion-proof valve automated workbench is suitable for the welding of new energy power 4LR44 battery explosion-proof valves. The solution adopts a rotating double-station working mode, manually loading the 4LR44 battery cover plate to the fixture tray, switching between loading and unloading and welding, and realizing the welding of the explosion-proof valve.
