This paper mainly introduces the design ideas of battery capacity in three common application scenarios: self-use (high electricity cost or no subsidy), peak-valley electricity price, and standby power supply (unstable grid or important load).
1. "Spontaneous Self-use"
Due to high electricity prices or low photovoltaic grid-connected subsidies (no subsidies), install photovoltaic energy storage systems to reduce electricity costs.
· Assuming the power grid is stable, off-grid operation is not considered
Photovoltaic is just to reduce the electricity consumption of the grid
· Generally, there is sufficient light during the day
Ideally, the PV + energy storage system can fully cover the household electricity consumption. But this is difficult to achieve. Therefore, considering the input cost and electricity consumption, we can choose to select the capacity of the battery according to the average daily household electricity consumption (kWh) (the default photovoltaic system is sufficient). The design logic is as follows:
If the law of electricity consumption can be accurately collected, combined with the management Settings of the energy storage machine, the system utilization can be improved as much as possible.
Second, peak and valley electricity prices
The structure of peak-valley electricity price is roughly as shown in the figure below. 17:00-22:00 is the peak of electricity consumption:
During the day, the electricity consumption is small (the photovoltaic system can basically cover), and at the peak of the electricity consumption, it is necessary to ensure that at least half of the electricity is powered by the battery to reduce the electricity cost.
