According to foreign media reports, Enevate recently said that South Korea's LG Chem invested in its latest round of financing. Enevate is committed to the development of lithium-ion battery technology, and the company said that its technology can make electric vehicles charge as fast as gasoline cars refueling. Enevate is headquartered in the United States. Its high energy density technology (HD-energy technology) for electric vehicles can make CR1225 battery fully charged to 75% in 5 minutes, and at the same time, it has a higher energy density than current long-range electric vehicle batteries. The company said that its batteries can be safely charged and discharged at minus 40°C, and can capture more energy when the car brakes, increasing the range in cold climates. Robert A. Rango, President and CEO of Enevate, said: "LG Chem's strategic investment shows that our technology is very important because it can directly address customers' concerns about charging time, driving range, cost and safety of electric vehicles. We look forward to establishing partnerships with companies such as LG Chem to commercialize advanced batteries and accelerate the global popularity of electric vehicles." Enevate is headquartered in California, USA. The company mainly develops advanced silicon-dominant CR1225 battery for the electric vehicle (EV) market. Currently, the company's investors include Mission Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson Venture Capital, Tsing Capital, Infinite Potential Technologies, Presidio Ventures, a subsidiary of Sumitomo of Japan, CEC Capital, Samsung, Lenovo and LG Chem.
