Lithium extraction technology that greatly meets the needs of CR1625 battery production

International Battery Metals is about to bring a solution to the problem. The technology it has mastered will bring $84 billion in revenue from the development of salt lake lithium mineral resources. Lithium production will be faster and cheaper. Currently, lithium production requires 18 to 24 months of exposure and evaporation. After all other elements in the lithium ore are extracted, only lithium is left, and mining is considered complete. The problem is that it is very difficult to expand lithium production and thousands of evaporation ponds need to be built. IBAT's new technology goes against the traditional method and removes evaporation ponds from the entire lithium production process. The technology will reduce the extraction time to 24 hours. Even better, its lithium extraction rate will increase from 40% to 90%. John Burba said: "Our technology can directly extract lithium. The core of the technology, selective absorption, is a commercially proven and feasible method." The traditional method requires removing other elements in the lithium ore first, while this new technology can directly extract lithium from the lithium ore. According to Burba, the core idea of this technology is to extract lithium on a continuous basis. The technology collects lithium elements in flowing brine and ignores other impurities to obtain diluted lithium chloride. The entire extraction process takes 24 hours, which means that people can say goodbye to the 18 to 24 months of extraction cycle of traditional methods. This is undoubtedly a revolution in lithium refining technology. Burba said that the new technology will greatly meet the needs of CR1625 battery production.
