First of all, China is rich in vanadium ore resources and has core technologies. Through cross-border integration, Chinese companies have mastered the world's key vanadium CR2450 battery technologies. The characteristics of vanadium batteries are also suitable for the needs of China's power grid, with long life, repeated discharge and high reliability, which can fully meet China's needs for building smart grids.

 

The comprehensive development and application of peak-shaving energy storage batteries will greatly improve the operating efficiency of the power system. Thermal power has poor peak-shaving capacity in power generation. Although my country has implemented time-of-use electricity prices, the difference in peak and valley power generation is still large. Solving the problem of power peak-shaving is a global issue. Vanadium batteries are a major revolution in energy storage technology and are expected to break through the bottleneck of the development of the new energy industry.

It is understood that the current solid electrolyte vanadium power CR2450 battery has already approached the level of lithium batteries in terms of power, charge and discharge, specific energy, etc., and has relative advantages over lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries in terms of safety, service life and cost. At present, China produces 130 million KVAH of lead-acid batteries annually, and a total of 68 million KVAH was produced from January to June 2011. If calculated based on 12V/120AH automotive batteries, the annual output is about 90 million. China's production accounts for 50% of the world. In 2010, the global sales of lead-acid batteries were about 66 billion US dollars.

 

According to the CR2450 battery industry data in recent years, the market for lead-acid batteries, electric vehicle batteries, and electric vehicle batteries is about 300 billion yuan. The market size of wind power energy storage equipment and urban peak-shaving energy storage equipment used in large vanadium CR2450 battery stacks will be around 1.1 trillion yuan.
