NEC develops technology for remotely controlling multiple CR927 batteryindividually
NEC Corporation has recently developed technology that can remotely and directly operate multiple fixed CR927 batteryand pure electric vehicle (EV) batteries, and individually control the charge and discharge of each battery. This is said to be the first of its kind in the world. With the expansion of renewable energy sources whose power generation capacity can change suddenly due to weather conditions, the balance of power supply and demand will change in a short period of time. By using the above technology, power demand can be controlled in real time to cope with such changes.
The technology developed by NEC can synchronize multiple CR927 batteryto form a power supply and demand balance adjustment system. With the adaptive control software that controls according to the battery status and the hierarchical cooperative control system composed of network remote control and battery control as the core, the supply and demand balance is adjusted in seconds regardless of the number of batteries.
The adaptive control software centrally manages the status of each battery on the network side and assigns charging and discharging tasks to each battery. The hierarchical coordination control system assigns charging and discharging tasks to each battery at intervals of more than ten minutes on the network side. At the same time, on the battery side, the control software equipped with each battery is used to grasp the overall supply and demand balance in real time, and control charging and discharging in seconds.
In this way, the CR927 batteryof multiple electricity consumers can be continuously charged and discharged at the optimal time in line with changes in the balance of supply and demand. In order to popularize renewable energy, it is urgent to establish a new system that adjusts the balance between supply and demand in real time. On the other hand, in the past, it was difficult to adjust using multiple distributed batteries, which required completely synchronizing their charging and discharging times.
