Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LIPF6) is the core material of lithium-ion battery electrolyte, commonly known as lithium salt, which is the electrolyte with the best performance and the largest usage.
The ratio of lithium hexafluorophosphate to organic solvent (including additives) is about 1:7, and its cost accounts for about 50%-70% of the total electrolyte production cost. At present, the price of lithium hexafluorophosphate is 250,000-300,000 yuan/ton, and the gross profit margin is about 60%. It is one of the parts with the highest added value in lithium-ion battery materials. The technical research and development level, production and supply capacity, and price level of lithium hexafluorophosphate largely affect the development scale and profit level of the lithium-ion battery industry.
