The plastic and metal shells after disassembly can be recycled, but the cost is high: the residual voltage still reaches hundreds of volts (excluding 18650 batteries) and there is a certain degree of danger; For safety reasons, the battery casing is packaged in a non detachable form, which requires considerable effort to open; In addition, the positive electrode materials of lithium-ion batteries are also diverse, with high requirements for recycled acid and alkali solutions. With current technology, the recycling of lithium-ion batteries is undoubtedly a loss making business.

  In addition to the above, nickel hydrogen batteries also have advantages such as stable discharge characteristics, smooth discharge curves, and low heat generation. Therefore, before significant breakthroughs in battery technology, this relatively low energy density nickel hydrogen battery remains the best partner for hybrid vehicles with low battery power requirements. The industry is constantly reflecting on the safety issues of electric vehicles, and blindly pursuing high energy density has become the focus. Several professionals have pointed out that theoretically, battery energy density is inversely proportional to safety. The company's pursuit of high energy density has exposed safety issues.
