Lead acid batteries, on the other hand, require a more controlled and slower charging process to avoid over charging and damage to the battery.
However, lead acid batteries are more affordable upfront. The initial purchase price of a 100 amp lead acid battery is usually much lower than that of a 100 amp lithium ion battery. This makes them a more accessible option for users on a tight budget. Additionally, lead acid batteries are more tolerant of over discharging and over charging to a certain extent, which can be an advantage in some less sophisticated applications.
