For readers who are not familiar with the principles of lithium-ion battery technology, 18650 lithium battery and lithium polymer battery are probably the two words they hear the most. Many businesses will praise polymer batteries to the sky and trample on 18650 batteries when promoting their own products, which is not too strict.
In fact, the principles of different types of batteries are basically the same, with positive electrodes, negative electrodes, and electrolytes. Currently, the nominal voltage of a single cell in mainstream lithium batteries is generally 3.7V. The positive electrode materials are generally lithium cobalt oxide, lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide (also known as ternary materials), lithium iron phosphate or lithium manganese oxide, etc. The negative electrode materials are generally graphite, and the electrolyte is generally lithium hexafluorophosphate solution. The industry usually uses the external dimensions of lithium batteries to identify battery models.
