28 million pounds, the UK develops electric vehicle LR44 battery and builds factories

According to foreign media reports, the British government has invested 28 million pounds (about 36 million US dollars) to develop electric vehicle LR44 battery and build industry-leading battery factories.

The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy revealed in a statement on Thursday that the battery industrialization center is located in Coventry in central England. The funds invested this time are only preliminary investment, and the total investment amount is about 80 million pounds.

The British government aims to provide financial support for testing institutions, promote the development of new battery technologies and provide worker training programs.

British Business Secretary Andrew Stephenson declared in a statement: "Pushing the UK to the forefront of zero-emission vehicle design and braking is the core of our plan."

The project aims to build a super factory for the UK - a large battery factory to meet the needs of major car companies building factories in the UK, such as Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan.

The development of electric vehicles is also the core of the UK's plan, which aims to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

For the government, Brexit has weakened the automotive product line. Although the UK is willing to retain car companies, it still involves many problems and the results are uncertain.

Honda said that the company will close its British factory in 2021, resulting in the reduction of 3,500 jobs, while Nissan has abandoned plans to build new models at its Sunderland plant in northeast England, and Jaguar Land Rover has also announced that it will cut thousands of jobs, which are all related to Brexit to a certain extent.
