　　France develops carbon nanotubes that reduce weight by 30% compared to Ni-MH battery packs

　　Recently, according to foreign media reports, the French NAWA Technology Company is developing a supercapacitor based on nanotechnology - carbon nanotubes. Its biggest feature is that it is more efficient than lithium-ion batteries while ensuring the performance of electric vehicle power batteries remains unchanged. The group lost 30% of their weight.

　　It is understood that carbon nanotubes are manufactured using carbon nanotechnology and graphene nanotechnology. In addition to significantly reducing weight, carbon nanotubes can store and release electrical energy faster than lithium-ion batteries. Ulrik Grape, CEO of NAWA Technology Company, said that our advantage is not only lightweight, but also faster charge and discharge rate is one of the advantages of this new technology. Power batteries equipped with carbon nanotubes can obtain power from kinetic energy recovery with higher efficiency and quickly provide it to the motor.

　　It is worth mentioning that although carbon nanotubes can provide very fast energy transmission, they do not have the properties to store energy in large volumes. According to NAWA, the currently considered achievable technical route is to integrate a battery pack equipped with carbon nanotubes as a secondary battery into a lithium-ion power battery, which can increase the charging rate while taking advantage of the high energy density of lithium-ion batteries. At the same time, the number of charging and discharging times of the main battery is reduced, thereby extending its service life and improving endurance.
