Hydrometallurgy involves using chemical solutions to dissolve the metals from the electrode materials, followed by purification and precipitation to obtain the pure metals or their compounds. Pyrometallurgy, on the other hand, uses high - temperature processes to melt the battery components and separate the metals based on their melting points and chemical properties.
