  What are the principle of lithium battery charging: the charging method of lithium batteries mainly includes two types: constant flow constant voltage type (PFC) and constant voltage constant current (PI). Both methods are transformed through a transformer to transform high -voltage DC power into low -voltage DC power. Because the voltage of lithium batteries is relatively low, this charging method is more suitable for small current charging, such as charging mobile phones. At the same time, due to the disadvantages of low energy density in the lithium battery itself, when charging lithium batteries in this way, the problem of energy density must also be considered. Taking PFC as an example, the entire process requires three parts: (1) converting AC power to DC power; (2) converting DC power into high frequency high -frequency currents; (3) converting high -frequency current into a higher voltage with a higher voltage voltage DC power.

  1. Hengliu constant voltage charging

  According to the actual current of the battery, the voltage of 220V is converted into a relatively low 12V DC voltage through a pair of transformers of each other. When input, the voltage drop at both ends of the battery (that is, the output current that the battery itself can bear) is zero. At this time, the battery charging starts, and the charging current remains unchanged. In this process, as long as the input voltage remains unchanged, the actual output current of the battery pack is constant. According to the above principles, we can know that only one constant current produces a constant current without voltage on the other two electrodes, and lithium batteries are constant charging, so it is more suitable for three types of lithium batteries of small volume, large capacity and high power.

  2. Mixed charging of constant current and constant voltage

  Mix the constant current and constant voltage to obtain a higher voltage. Because the battery will continue to consume energy during the actual charging and discharge process, in order to make the battery save more energy. Generally, the battery capacity is not too large, or charging when the battery temperature is low. Mixed charging is generally used when small -capacity lithium batteries are quickly charged.

  3. Timing charging method

  The timing charging method is to limit the battery current to a fixed range, rather than charging at a constant current. This method is generally used for emergency charging and can effectively extend the battery life. The timing charging method can be simply divided into three steps: (1) charging the battery from the power supply. At this time, the current is relatively small; (2) When the voltage drops to the set value, first perform the battery. Simple charging; (3) When the voltage rises to the set value, the battery will be charged significantly. Pay attention to three issues of time charging: (1) Do not start charging for it when the battery power does not meet the requirements; When the voltage reaches the set value, the charger of the battery should be terminated in time.
