　　Recently, overseas media reported that BorgWarner has launched an innovative high-pressure liquid heater for pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. This technology can not only control the operating temperature of the power battery within the optimal range, improve the performance of the battery and extend the battery life of the car, but also heat the cabin to provide a comfortable driving environment.

　　It is said that high-pressure liquid heaters mainly meet the thermal management needs of high-performance systems that rapidly generate heat. Since the heating element of the high-pressure liquid heater is completely immersed in the coolant, minimal power losses are achieved. This technology improves battery energy performance by maintaining a balanced temperature within the battery pack and battery. And because it has extremely high thermal power density and fast response time, it consumes less battery, so it can extend the cruising range of the car battery.

　　Currently, high-pressure liquid heaters are available in single-plate and double-plate heater versions. The single-plate heater is mainly responsible for one of the tasks of battery thermal management or cabin heating; while the double-plate heater can have the functions of battery thermal management and cabin heating at the same time. In order to comply with the development trend of new energy vehicles, BorgWarner will continue to expand systematic and integrated development in the future, and will also increase business expansion in China.
