Advantages and Disadvantages of Lithium Manganese Oxide Batteries
Lithium manganate battery refers to a battery that uses lithium manganate material as the positive electrode. The nominal voltage of lithium manganate battery is 2.5~4.2v. Lithium manganate battery is widely used for its low cost and good safety.
The advantages of lithium manganate batteries are good rate performance, relatively easy preparation, and low cost. 2. High-voltage spinel lithium manganate LiMn2O4, theoretical capacity 148mA·h/g, voltage platform 4.15. High temperature performance is poor, and capacity attenuation is severe above 55°C. It is also easy to generate the Li2Mn2O4 spinel structure, which can lead to a drop in the voltage platform, poor stability, irreversible capacity attenuation, etc. This is the type of lithium manganate currently used in industry.
