The system energy density can also reach 140wh/kg, which is above a certain cruising range. It can also be charged quickly to meet the operation of online car-hailing and taxis. The 44Ah product is used in taxis with higher operating mileage. It can be quickly charged from 0% to 80% in 20 minutes and 100% in 30 minutes, which can meet the needs of all-weather operations. Guo Shengchang believes that these three products have different power densities and energy densities, but the same size. They are all VDA sizes, suitable for the operational needs of the passenger car market, and take into account the characteristics of low cost, standardization, and diversified performance. 3Higher energy and faster charging? In the future, Microvast Power will continue to work hard on batteries with relatively high specific energy and relatively fast charging capabilities. According to the information previously disclosed by the person in charge of Microvast Power, in the fourth quarter of 2020, Microvast Power also plans to mass-produce products with a capacity of 300wh/kg, 1C charge and discharge, and a cycle life of more than 1,200 times. By the fourth quarter of 2021, Microvast plans to launch 350wh/kg, which can charge 40% of the power in the mid-range SOC in 15 minutes at a 4C rate, with a cycle life of more than 800 times. These two products use ternary + silicon carbon negative electrode materials. As for new material systems that will increase energy density over a larger span in the future, Guo Shengchang said it remains to be seen. Due to the pursuit of high specific energy, generally speaking, it will have a negative impact on fast charging energy. Therefore, Micromacro Power's product direction will still be to have both energy density and power density while striving for low cost.
