Horizon's new 60-100kW, high energy density, low-cost automotive-grade fuel cell stack will be commercialized by the end of 2019. HorizonGroup said that when it comes to the commercial appeal of fuel cell systems, battery energy density per square centimeter is much more important than volumetric energy density. Doubling the battery energy density means that the volumetric energy density will also double, while also halving the cost of materials, laying the foundation for large-scale commercial operation of fuel cell vehicles in the short term. Horizon also combines the research and development results of bipolar plate technology with the recent highly automated manufacturing process. The latter positions the fuel cell combination and core raw materials to help users achieve the lowest cost structure, which involves both fuel cell vehicles and Involves fuel cell power generation applications.
