　　Ian Selanowitz, an engineer at the Institute of Nanotechnology (ISN) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said that tungsten is an important raw material for new batteries, and billions of nanometer-sized pits have been etched on the surface of tungsten. When tungsten absorbs heat, whether it comes from the sun, hydrocarbon fuel, decaying radioactive isotopes, or other heat sources, it glows brightly, and the emission spectrum is constantly changing because each pit acts like a resonator, emitting a specific wavelength of light waves.
