UPS battery pack isolation discharge test method
1. First check the data of the UPS battery pack body and the switches and instruments on the power side and load side, and proceed to the next step after there is no abnormality;
2. Place the dummy load in a well-ventilated and safe place for evacuation in the corridor, and connect the spare cable to the dummy load (set a DC 4P400A circuit breaker in the middle of the wiring cable, and the switch is in the off position) for backup;
Low temperature lithium iron phosphate battery 3.2V 20A -20℃ charge, -40℃ 3C discharge capacity ≥70%
Charging temperature: -20~45℃ -Discharging temperature: -40~+55℃ -40℃ supports maximum discharge rate: 3C -40℃ 3C discharge capacity retention rate≥70%
3. Connect the dummy load control power supply with the spare switch of the corresponding voltage level for standby;
4. Confirm with the monitoring personnel through the intercom, disconnect the UPS battery pack switch, and prepare for wiring; the battery pack side is connected according to the planned wiring method and voltage level. Wiring personnel wear insulated gloves and use insulated tools to remove the connecting copper bars of No. 96 and No. 97 batteries in the battery pack, and connect the cable (120mm) connected to the phase line of the dummy load firmly to the positive terminal of the UPS battery pack, and to the neutral wire of the dummy load. The connected temporary wire is connected to the negative pole of the battery pack for standby.
5. Turn on the UPS battery pack monitoring equipment and start monitoring the data of each battery to be tested;
6. Send power to the dummy load control circuit, turn on the dummy load; close the middle switch of the battery test temporary line and use a multimeter to test whether the voltage at both ends of the switch is consistent with the voltage of the battery pack (—216V);
7. Turn on the dummy load test mode: select the load switch test of the corresponding power level (select a lower power at the beginning), and use the clamp ammeter to detect the test current carried by the cable in real time (no overload test).
Low temperature high energy density 18650 3350mAh-40℃ 0.5C discharge capacity ≥60%
Charging temperature: 0~45℃ Discharging temperature: -40~+55℃ Specific energy: 240Wh/kg -40℃ discharge capacity retention rate: 0.5C discharge capacity≥60%

8. Through the test, observe the voltage drop of each battery in the UPS battery pack, whether there is a large voltage drop of individual batteries, and check the appearance of each battery at the same time. The test current should not exceed the C10 discharge current of the battery pack. The test time is combined with the voltage drop of the battery pack on site. The voltage of the single battery should not be lower than 1.85V.
9. After the test, restore the connection and switch status of the UPS battery pack.
UPS battery discharge process
1. Set or calculate the discharge time of the UPS battery: Calculate the standby time according to the time displayed on the LCD panel or the number of batteries, and set the power-off time to 30% or 25% of the calculated time.
2. Directly disconnect the "rectifier input switch" of the UPS, and observe the remaining time and battery voltage displayed on the UPS LCD panel, or the number of indicators on the front panel of the UPS is not less than half of the original number of lights.
3. When the UPS battery discharges to the battery low voltage alarm value, or when the time reaches the previous estimated time, close the "rectification input switch" of the UPS.
Summary: The above is the isolation discharge test of the UPS battery pack, the discharge process of the UPS battery, the operation status of the UPS equipment in the station, the investigation, investigation, charge and discharge test of the battery pack, the detection of damaged and failed single-bottle batteries, and the restoration of the overall performance of the battery pack , It is very necessary to ensure the normal operation of the UPS system.
