First, avoid overcharging and deep discharging. Most lithium-ion batteries have a recommended voltage range (3.0V to 4.2V per cell for lithium cobalt oxide variants), and exceeding these limits triggers excessive chemical reactions. Lastly, firmware and software management in smart devices helps. Avoiding intensive tasks (e.g., gaming while charging) reduces heat buildup during use, further mitigating swelling risks.
