A ternary polymer lithium-ion battery is composed of a positive electrode, negative electrode, electrolyte, and separator. Positive electrode materials generally use lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide (NCM) or lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxide (NCA), while negative electrode materials generally use graphite or silicon negative electrode materials. Electrolytes are generally organic electrolyte solutions, commonly used include polycarbonate, polyfluorocarbonate, etc. The diaphragm plays a role in isolating the positive and negative electrodes, and generally uses polyolefin materials.
When charging, lithium ions move from the positive electrode to the negative electrode, and an oxidation reaction occurs at the positive electrode, causing lithium ions to lose electrons and become lithium ion oxides. At the same time, a reduction reaction occurs at the negative electrode, and the lithium ion oxide receives electrons to become a lithium metal. When discharging, the above reaction process proceeds in reverse, with lithium metal oxidized to lithium ions at the negative electrode and lithium ion oxides reduced to lithium ion oxides at the positive electrode.
The structure of ternary polymer lithium-ion batteries is relatively simple, generally composed of positive electrode, negative electrode, electrolyte, and separator. The positive electrode adopts a layered structure and is prepared by coating. Common positive electrode materials include NCM and NCA. The negative electrode is prepared from graphite material and is prepared by coating or immersion coating. The electrolyte is composed of organic electrolytes and solvents, among which organic electrolytes have high ion conductivity. The diaphragm serves to isolate the positive and negative poles, preventing direct contact.
