At present, lithium batteries carried by new energy vehicles are mainly lithium iron phosphate batteries represented by BYD and ternary lithium batteries represented by Tesla.
The biggest difference between the two materials is that lithium iron phosphate battery does not contain cobalt and nickel.
In the past, the market share of ternary lithium batteries for many years was more than 60%, occupying the mainstream of the market.
In short, lithium iron phosphate battery is a lithium ion battery that uses lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material only. This type of battery is characterized by no precious metal elements.

The ternary lithium battery refers to the lithium battery which uses lithium nickel cobalt manganate as the cathode material and graphite as the cathode material. 2. Poor low-temperature performance. When the temperature is lower than 0 ℃, the capacity drops rapidly, and the cycle performance is extremely poor at low temperature.
3. In the sintering process of lithium iron phosphate preparation, it is possible that iron oxide can be reduced to simple iron under high temperature reducing atmosphere. Iron, the most taboo substance in batteries, can cause micro short circuit of batteries.
