What is a low-temperature battery

　　Low temperature battery is a special type of battery specially developed to address the inherent low-temperature defects in the performance of chemical power sources. The low-temperature battery uses VGCF and activated carbon with a specific surface area of (2000 ± 500) ㎡/g as additives and their matching positive and negative electrode materials. Special electrolytes with special additives are injected to ensure the low-temperature discharge function of the low-temperature battery. At the same time, the volume change rate after being stored at 70 ℃ for 24 hours is ≤ 0.5%, which has the safety and storage functions of conventional lithium batteries

　　Low temperature batteries refer to lithium-ion batteries with operating temperatures below -40 ℃, mainly used in military and aerospace, vehicle equipment, scientific research and rescue, power communication, public safety, medical electronics, railways, ships, robots and other fields. Low temperature lithium batteries are divided into energy storage type and rate type based on their discharge performance. Low temperature lithium batteries are divided into military low-temperature lithium batteries and industrial low-temperature lithium batteries according to their application fields. According to their usage environment, they are divided into three series: civilian low-temperature batteries, special low-temperature batteries, and extreme environmental low-temperature batteries.
