When connecting UPS batteries, the connection scheme must be designed in advance. Physical inspection must be carried out before being put on the shelf, and the open circuit voltage must be measured. The quality of the battery can be judged from the appearance, load measurement, and multimeter measurement. 1. How to connect 1.5V rechargeable battery
1. Design the connection plan in advance. It is recommended to remove the metal accessories on hand during installation.
2. Before putting the 1.5V rechargeable battery on the shelf, physical inspection should be carried out and the open circuit voltage should be measured to avoid rework. When one end of the connecting cable is connected to the 1.5V rechargeable battery, the other end should be insulated and protected or held in the palm of your hand to prevent misplacement and sparking.
3. After one end of the cable is connected, the other end should tap the pole that needs to be connected when connecting to effectively avoid the impact of incorrect connections.
4. When two people are connected at the same time, there should be no connection or potential relationship between the corresponding 1.5V rechargeable battery packs. Because the two people have the same potential, if there is a potential difference between the batteries connected to each other, the battery and the two people will form a circuit, and an electric shock accident may occur.
5. After the 1.5V rechargeable battery pack is connected in series, the voltage between the total positive and total negative of the 1.5V rechargeable battery pack is relatively high. 2. Load measurement
If there is no abnormality in appearance, the UPS is operating in battery mode with a certain amount of load. If the discharge time is significantly shorter than the normal discharge time and the normal backup time cannot be restored after 8 hours of charging, the battery is judged to be aging.
3. Measure with a multimeter
①Measurement in battery discharge mode
Measure the voltage of each battery terminal in the battery pack. If the voltage of one or more battery terminals is significantly higher or lower than the nominal voltage (nominal voltage 12V/cell), judge the battery aging.
②Measurement in mains power mode
The charging voltage of each battery terminal in the battery pack. If the charging voltage of one or more batteries is significantly higher or lower than other voltages, the battery is judged to be aging.
③Measure the total voltage of the battery pack
The total voltage of the battery pack is significantly lower than the nominal value. It cannot return to the normal value after 8 hours of charging. Even if it returns to the normal value, the discharge time cannot reach the normal discharge time, and the battery is judged to be aging.
④Battery power-on measurement
Do not turn on the UPS, and do not connect it to the mains. First use a multimeter to measure the total voltage of the battery pack. Do not leave the test leads. Keep an eye on the multimeter's instructions, and then connect the power button. If the total battery voltage immediately drops below 30V or even more than ten volts, , the UPS automatically shuts down immediately, and the voltage returns to its original value immediately after shutting down. Determine battery aging.
