In terms of specific methods, three complete charges and discharges are usually carried out. Among them, the charging mode is 0.1C. This is because when the battery is not activated and has low charge, high-current charging will cause damage to the electrodes. Theoretically, when charging for the first time, if the battery charge is greater than 40%, it can be used first and then recharged. On the contrary, if the battery charge is less than 40%, it can be charged first and then used. In practical applications, new batteries have instructions for use and can be operated according to the manufacturer's instructions. It may take at least 3 full charges and discharges to fully meet the capacity standards, and some are required to go as long as 5 times, because the available power after the first charge may only be 1/3 of the nominal capacity.

  The capacity of old 18650 battery rechargeable will decrease after long-term use. At the same time, what affects the effective output of capacity is the oxide layer produced by the internal electrodes, which increases the internal resistance of the battery. The decrease in capacity is irreversible, so reducing the internal resistance of the battery is important. The key is to activate old 18650 battery rechargeable. Otherwise, old 18650 battery rechargeable will become increasingly unable to adapt to high-current electrical appliances. This kind of nickel-metal hydride battery with increased internal resistance can be activated by discharging with a large current. In practice, a short-circuit test is usually performed. In a short circuit, the current will increase from small to large, and the nickel metal hydride battery will slowly heat up. When the battery body reaches 40°C, it will stop discharging. When the temperature returns to normal, it will short circuit and discharge again. After this cycle, until the battery voltage drops to 1.0 The short circuit discharge process is completed when V. Some 18650 battery rechargeable whose internal resistance is not very large may be able to be used normally after one discharge, so there is no need for cyclic short circuits.
