1. Ordinary battery
The plates of ordinary batteries are composed of lead and lead oxide, and the electrolyte is an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid. Its main advantages are stable voltage and low price; its disadvantages are low specific energy (that is, the amount of electrical energy stored per kilogram of battery), short service life and frequent daily maintenance.
2. Dry charge battery
Its full name is dry-charged lead-acid battery. Its main feature is that the negative plate has a high power storage capacity. In a completely dry state, it can store the power obtained within two years. When using it, just add electrolyte liquid, wait 20-30 minutes before use.
3. Maintenance-free battery
Due to its structural advantages, maintenance-free batteries consume very little electrolyte and basically do not need to replenish distilled water during their service life. It also has the characteristics of shock resistance, high temperature resistance, small size and low self-discharge. The service life is generally twice that of ordinary batteries. There are also two types of maintenance-free batteries on the market: the first type requires a one-time addition of electrolyte when purchased and does not require maintenance (adding replenishing fluid) during subsequent use; the other type is that the battery itself has electrolyte added and sealed at the factory. , the user cannot add refill fluid at all.
2. Precautions when using car batteries
1. If the battery is not used for a long time, it will slowly discharge itself until it is scrapped. Therefore, the car should be started at regular intervals to charge the battery. Another way is to unplug the two electrodes on the battery. It should be noted that to unplug the positive and negative electrode wires from the electrode posts, you must first unplug the negative electrode wire, or remove the connection between the negative electrode and the car chassis. Then unplug the other end with the positive mark (+). The battery has a certain service life and must be replaced after a certain period of time. The above order should also be followed when replacing, but when connecting the electrode wire, the order is exactly the opposite, connect the positive electrode first, and then connect the negative electrode.
2. When the ammeter pointer shows that the battery capacity is insufficient, charge it in time. The battery charge level can be reflected on the instrument panel. Sometimes you find that the battery is insufficient on the road and the engine stalls and cannot be started. As a temporary measure, you can ask other vehicles for help and use the batteries on their vehicles to start the vehicle. Connect the negative poles of the two batteries to the negative pole and the positive pole to the positive pole. .

4. When the electrolyte is depleted, distilled water or special rehydration solution should be added. Do not use purified drinking water instead. Because pure water contains a variety of trace elements, it will have adverse effects on batteries.
5. When starting the car, continuous use of the starter may cause the battery to be damaged due to over-discharge. The correct way to use it is to start the car every time for no more than 5 seconds, and the interval between starts again is no less than 15 seconds. If the car still does not start after several starts, the cause should be found from other aspects such as the circuit, ignition coil or oil circuit.
6. When driving daily, you should always check whether the small hole on the battery cover is ventilated. If the small hole in the battery cover is blocked, the generated hydrogen and oxygen cannot be discharged. When the electrolyte expands, it will burst the battery shell and affect the battery life.
7. Check the positive and negative stages of the battery for signs of oxidation. You can pour hot water over the battery's wire connections from time to time.
