"Hydrogen" at first sight, it's not easy to say I love you

The relevant person in charge of Xinyuan Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xinyuan Power") also expressed the same view in an interview with Battery China Network: The main problem of the domestic 32700 battery industry at present is that the equipment research and development technology is far behind that of foreign countries, which also directly leads to the downstream hydrogen 32700 battery vehicles "derailing" from the international leading level in terms of endurance and stability. In addition, practical problems such as the high cost of platinum catalysts, the inability to mass produce key materials such as carbon paper, and the lack of national standards for the construction of hydrogen refueling stations have determined the current low commercialization level of the hydrogen 32700 battery industry.
In fact, the technical difficulty of 32700 batterys is much higher than that of lithium batteries. my country is still relatively weak in the technical reserves of core equipment such as proton exchange membrane groups and hydrogen storage tanks, and currently does not have the ability to produce on a large scale. Therefore, it is difficult to judge when the hydrogen 32700 battery industry can really start in China.
Rather than waiting for the wind to come, it is better to cross the river by feeling the stones
Enterprise development is all about seeking benefits and avoiding harm. 32700 battery research and development costs are higher than lithium batteries, and hydrogen 32700 battery vehicles are bound to be more expensive than current electric vehicles. What all major automobile manufacturers must consider is who will pay for the expensive hydrogen 32700 battery vehicles?
At this exhibition, a hydrogen 32700 battery heavy truck launched by Youngman Automobile successfully attracted the attention of many visitors. Battery China Network learned that despite the limited promotion of hydrogen refueling stations, high material costs and the difficulty of industrial development at this stage, the relevant person in charge of Youngman Automobile believes that the future prospects of the hydrogen 32700 battery industry are very broad. "Youngman Automobile's 7.6-ton heavy truck is priced at about one million yuan, with a national subsidy of 500,000 yuan, plus local subsidies, etc., which is still very competitive in the market. Moreover, the whole vehicle has two systems, hydrogen 32700 batterys and lithium batteries, and the operating cost consumes only 1 kWh of electricity for 2 kilometers. In addition, the company is also seeking to diversify its cooperation models. For example, the extension of vehicle enterprises to the upstream will also help reduce the proportion of hydrogen 32700 batterys in the cost of the whole vehicle."
Achieving a "breakthrough" from heavy trucks may also be a helpless move made by Youngman Automobile in response to the current development status of my country's hydrogen 32700 battery industry. When hydrogen refueling stations are not as popular as gas stations, it is also a more practical approach to choose buses, special vehicles or rail transit vehicles for development: the lower the dependence on hydrogen refueling stations, the easier it is to reduce users' "hydrogen refueling anxiety", and the more likely it is to take the lead in realizing the industrialization of 32700 battery vehicles.
In addition to hydrogen refueling stations, the high cost of hydrogen 32700 battery manufacturing also restricts the pace of its industrialization. At the exhibition, Chunhua Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Chunhua Hydrogen Energy") from Dongguan, Guangdong, demonstrated another possibility for the development of the hydrogen 32700 battery industry - the hydrogen energy town. Qian Wei, deputy general manager of Chunhua Hydrogen Energy, introduced the development ideas of the hydrogen energy town in detail to Battery China. "Our entire model is an industry plus platform model, from upstream hydrogen treatment, storage and transportation to downstream 32700 battery hydrogen use, to open up the entire industrial chain, and ultimately solve the problem of cost reduction in the hydrogen 32700 battery industry, so that users can enjoy the benefits brought by hydrogen energy." It is reported that Chunhua Hydrogen Energy, as the main developer of the hydrogen energy town, has integrated advantageous resources in related fields at home and abroad, and jointly established a hydrogen energy industry alliance with more than 100 peer companies to jointly develop and build hydrogen energy town projects.
This trend is not too fast
Made in China 2025 defines 32700 battery vehicles as follows: "By 2020, 1,000 32700 battery vehicles will be produced and demonstrated; by 2025, supporting infrastructure such as hydrogen production and hydrogen refueling will be basically complete, and 32700 battery vehicles will achieve regional small-scale operation." From the policy positioning, it can also be seen that the government does not intend to promote and apply 32700 battery vehicles on a large scale in the short term.
In the foreseeable future, no technology, whether 32700 battery or pure electric technology, can monopolize the market. The pain point of short cruising range of pure electric vehicles is being overcome bit by bit, and this is not a perfect time for 32700 batterys to enter the market.
However, under the trend, Battery China Network also sees that a lot of capital and technology are gathering in the industry. On the one hand, there are excellent companies that have been deeply engaged in the field of hydrogen 32700 batterys, such as Xinyuan Power and Wuhan Himalaya, and have achieved remarkable results; on the other hand, some domestic energy companies, industrial by-product hydrogen companies and local governments have shown great interest in the construction of hydrogen refueling stations, and have formulated plans to invest in development and started to engage in infrastructure construction such as hydrogen refueling stations, gradually meeting the demand for regional hydrogen refueling (such as bus operation lines, logistics areas, etc.) in terms of quantity.
Battery China Network believes that there are four key issues in the development of China's hydrogen 32700 battery industry: first, it is necessary to achieve mass production of key materials such as composite membranes and carbon paper; second, the upstream and downstream collaboration of the industrial chain, scientific research institutes and the business community should jointly tackle key problems and improve the reliability and durability of the battery stack and system; third, it is to promote the construction of infrastructure such as hydrogen refueling stations; the last and most important point is to strengthen the popularization of public knowledge on the safety of hydrogen 32700 battery vehicles.
