Ai Chi Automobile will invest in the methanol hydrogen 6F22 battery power system R&D and manufacturing project in Karamay

Recently, Ai Chi Automobile signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Karamay City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is understood that the two parties will cooperate in the fields of new energy vehicles and supporting parts, charging infrastructure construction, industrial investment and financing and high-tech projects, waste battery recycling, power energy, etc.

In addition, this strategic cooperation agreement not only includes the content of new energy products, but the two parties will also further discuss and conduct in-depth negotiations on methanol new energy projects, and jointly promote the implementation of the methanol hydrogen 6F22 battery power system R&D and manufacturing project (40,000 sets). The total amount of the project may reach 1.2 billion yuan, which will be used in passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the future.

Karamay, known as the "World Oil City", is located in the central area of the Pan-Central Asia region and is also an important comprehensive transportation hub in northern Xinjiang. As the first 10 million ton oil field in western my country, Karamay is an important national petroleum and petrochemical base with a complete petroleum and petrochemical industry chain. In response to the national, provincial and municipal policies and measures on low-carbon, energy-saving and environmental protection, in recent years, Karamay has continuously accelerated the construction of charging infrastructure for passenger cars in the city, striving to transform from a "world oil city" to a "future energy city".

In addition, with the "Command Opinions on the Use of Methanol Vehicles in Some Areas" jointly issued by eight ministries and commissions in March this year, it is proposed to accelerate the development of energy diversification and clean energy vehicles. As a methanol-rich area, Karamay has been actively looking for methanol application scenarios and paths. Ai Chi Automobile's methanol hydrogen fuel technology with international advanced advantages allows Karamay's methanol to be used in scenarios. Through the implementation of the joint venture project, the two parties are expected to accelerate the use and promotion of methanol hydrogen fuel and realize a new energy structure with low emissions and high efficiency.

It is understood that Ai Chi Automobile has a methanol hydrogen production research center and manufacturing base in Denmark. It is the first pioneer company in China to apply methanol hydrogen fuel power battery technology to passenger cars. Different from traditional methanol fuel vehicles and hydrogen storage vehicles, AIWAYS's self-developed methanol hydrogen fuel technology is more efficient, environmentally friendly, and convenient, and can achieve zero harmful gas emissions without the need for additional CO purification and evaporator heating devices. AIWAYS's first electric supercar GumpertNathalie has successfully used methanol hydrogen fuel technology as a range extender on passenger cars, with a track performance of 2.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and a range of more than 1,000 km under constant speed conditions. The technology is about to enter the industrialization stage.
