CR2032 button cell refers to a cylindrical steel shell lithium battery cell with a diameter of 26 mm and a height of 65 mm. It is the same type of rechargeable battery as the 18650 lithium battery, and its knowledge level is different.
The service life of CR2032 button cell is generally 300-500 battery charging cycles. Assuming that the power provided by complete charge and discharge is 1Q, if the decrease in power after each charging cycle is not taken into account, the lithium battery can provide or make up for the power of 300Q-500Q during its service life. Therefore, if you charge 1/2 every time, you can charge it 600-1000 times; if you charge it 1/3 every time, you can charge it 900-1500 times. By analogy, if the charging standard is arbitrary, the frequency is uncertain.
In fact, shallow charging and discharging are more beneficial to lithium batteries. The power supply of the product only needs to be deeply charged when calibrating the lithium battery. Therefore, products powered by lithium do not need to be limited to processing technology. Everything is convenient and can be charged at any time without worrying about affecting the service life.
All in all, no matter how you charge it, the total output power of 300Q-500Q is stable. Therefore, we can also understand that the service life of lithium batteries is related to the total battery charging capacity of the rechargeable battery and has nothing to do with the frequency of battery charging. There is not much difference between deep charge and discharge and shallow charge and discharge on the life of lithium battery.
What issues must be paid attention to when using CR2032 button cell?
1. Prevent battery charging when the temperature is too low.
If you use lithium batteries in ultra-low temperature environments, that is, below 4°C, you will also find that the service life of 26650 lithium batteries is shortened. The original lithium batteries in some mobile phones cannot even be charged in high temperature environments. But don’t worry too much, this is just a temporary situation and is different from use in high temperature environments. Once the temperature rises, the molecular structure in the rechargeable battery will be heated and the previous power output will be restored immediately.
2. Prevent battery charging from overheating.
If the CR2032 button cell is used in an environment higher than the required operating temperature, that is, above 35°C, the battery power will continue to decrease, that is, the power supply time of the battery will not be as long as usual. If the equipment needs to be charged at such a temperature, the damage to the battery will be greater. Even if the battery is stored in a high temperature environment, it will inevitably cause relative damage to the quality of the battery. Therefore, trying to maintain a stable operating temperature is a good way to increase the life of lithium batteries.
3. Use often
In order to take full advantage of the greater efficiency of the CR2032 button cell, it must be used frequently to keep the electronics in the lithium battery in a fluid state at all times. If you do not use lithium batteries frequently, please remember to perform a charging cycle for the lithium battery every month and do a power calibration, that is, deep charge and discharge and deep battery charging.
