Detailed explanation of the main differences between the composition of AGM batteries and gel batteries
The difference is the way the electrolyte is fixed and penetrated inside the battery. AGM is an ultra-fine glass fiber separator, which is used to absorb electrolyte and supply oxygen composite channels. In gel batteries, gel-like sio2 is used to fix the electrolyte.
AGM batteries use pure sulfuric acid aqueous solution as electrolyte, with a density of 1.291.3lg/cm3. Most of it exists in the glass fiber membrane, and at the same time, a part of the electrolyte is absorbed inside the plate. In order to supply the oxygen precipitated from the positive electrode to the negative electrode, the diaphragm must maintain 10% of the pores that are not occupied by the electrolyte, that is, the lean liquid design. The pole group adopts a tight assembly method so that the pole plate is fully in contact with the electrolyte. At the same time, in order to ensure that the battery has a sufficient life, the pole plate should be designed to be thicker, and the positive grid alloy adopts Pb'-q2w-Srr--A1 quaternary alloy. AGM sealed batteries have less electrolyte, thicker plates, and lower active material utilization than open batteries, so the battery's discharge capacity is about 10% lower than that of open batteries. Compared with today's colloidal sealed batteries, its discharge capacity is smaller.
Compared with batteries of the same specifications, the price is higher, but it has the following advantages:

Colloidal lead-acid batteries use gel electrolytes, with no free liquid inside. Under the same volume, the electrolyte capacity is large, the heat capacity is large, and the heat dissipation ability is strong, which can prevent general batteries from thermal runaway; the electrolyte concentration is low, and the corrosion of the plates is weak; the concentration is uniform, and there is no electrolyte stratification.
It has the following characteristics:

2. The electrolyte is in a gel-fixed state, does not flow, does not leak, and makes all parts of the plate react evenly.
3. It adopts tight assembly technology and has excellent high-rate discharge performance.
4. Excess electrolyte, large battery heat capacity, strong heat dissipation ability, and wide operating temperature range.
5. All high-purity raw materials are used, and the battery self-discharge is extremely small.
6. Using gas recombination technology, the battery has extremely high sealing reaction efficiency, no acid mist precipitation, safe and environmentally friendly, and no pollution.
7. Using special design and highly reliable sealing technology to ensure battery sealing, safe and reliable use.
