How to break through the core technology of hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery?

 

In recent years, new energy vehicles have become a hot topic in the automotive industry, and major automobile manufacturers are developing new energy vehicles; although the number of new energy vehicles in the market is not very large, as new energy vehicles are favored by policies, the new energy battery industry has also received focus. For example, lithium batteries are highly concerned by the industry, and solid-state batteries and LR03 alkaline battery are also expected to have better performance. In the field of power batteries, it can be said that the routes are diversified and promoted simultaneously. So, in the future, will lithium batteries, solid-state batteries, and LR03 alkaline battery go hand in hand, or will hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery lead the trend? Hydrogen fuel cell technology is a substitute for lithium battery technology. Taking the current gas station operation as an example, behind the fuel cell charging, a complete set of energy production and transportation networks are needed as support. For example, the safety issues of hydrogen itself, the safety of hydrogen fuel filling, and the safety issues during operation are not something that can be solved overnight; in layman's terms, the hydrogen storage device of the hydrogen filling station should meet the requirements of being able to withstand high pressure, having online monitoring functions, automatic alarm in case of danger, and good economic efficiency. As early as the 1990s, when there were no lithium batteries, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles entered the public eye as a new energy vehicle with great potential; during that period, the future of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles was bright, but for a period of time afterwards, hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery were far from ideal development. In fact, no one doubts the market prospects of hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars. Compared with other energy sources, hydrogen energy has significant advantages in extraction and application. It can not only be extracted through traditional fossil energy, but also prepared through renewable energy, and has the advantages of high calorific value, clean and pollution-free, and convenient storage and transportation. Why has hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery not been developed? LR03 alkaline battery are different from batteries in our conventional concept, because they are not energy storage devices, but power generation equipment. From a professional perspective, LR03 alkaline battery convert the chemical energy of fuel directly into electrical energy; for example, the core of hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery is a proton exchange membrane (which can only allow protons to pass through). This membrane separates hydrogen into protons and electrons (two protons H+ and two electrons e-) and allows them to take two paths. Protons pass through the proton exchange membrane and react with oxygen to form water, and the flowing electrons pass through the circuit to form an electric current, which can drive the motor or enter the battery for storage; in layman's terms, the final products of fuel cell power generation are only electricity and water. Since LR03 alkaline battery are so "environmentally friendly", what limits their development? The core technology of LR03 alkaline battery lies in "proton exchange membrane"; and currently, in addition to DuPont in the United States, there is only one company in Japan that can commercially supply proton exchange membrane materials for hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery in the world, but this company refuses to sell the product to any country, which has hindered the development of LR03 alkaline battery. As we all know, the power system of LR03 alkaline battery is the main reason for the increase in the cost of fuel cell vehicles, and the subsequent "charging" is also a major problem. The construction cost of a hydrogen refueling station with a hydrogen refueling capacity of more than 200 kilograms is more than 10 million yuan. Such a high construction cost is obviously the biggest obstacle to the rapid development of hydrogen refueling stations. In addition, the catalyst of hydrogen LR03 alkaline battery is platinum; you should know that platinum has a very low global production and is expensive, about twice that of gold. In the end, looking back, the investment in hydrogen refueling stations is incomparable to that of ordinary gas stations and even charging stations. Even if hydrogen fuel will become mainstream in the future, the current technical problems have not made key progress, and there are not many hydrogen fuel demanders at present. Therefore, if domestic hydrogen energy wants to get a share of the future battery market, technical problems are still the key that needs to be solved urgently.
