Positive electrode materials for Nickel Hydride No. 5 battery, such as commonly used LiCoO2, LiMn2O4 and LiFePO4, are poor electronic conductors, with conductivity of 10-4, 10-6 and 10-9Scm-1, respectively. In the current lithium-ion battery system, the positive and negative electrode materials used in the battery have low ion and electronic conductivity, which is an important factor affecting and limiting the charge and discharge cycle and rate performance of Nickel Hydride No. 5 battery.
Therefore, in order to fully and effectively utilize the positive electrode materials during the charge and discharge process and improve the rate performance of Nickel Hydride No. 5 battery, conductive agents should be added to the positive electrode materials. Traditional conductive agents are generally graphite. Graphene itself has very high electronic conductivity.
