  During the battery manufacturing process, due to processing techniques and other reasons, batteries produced in the same batch have differences in volume, internal resistance, etc.;

  Rechargeable lithium batteries have different lifespans. After long-term accumulation, the battery power will be different;

  During the use of rechargeable batteries, differences in application environments such as temperature and circuit boards lead to imbalances in battery power.

  There are currently two ways to balance the management of lithium batteries, one is the energy consumption type, and the other is the feedback type. The calorie consumption type is to provide a series loop for a single battery, so that a single battery with a high voltage can separate electromagnetic energy to achieve balance. The feedback type refers to the deviation energy between units being sent into the lithium battery pack or some units in the lithium battery pack through the energy converter.

  Theoretically, feedback does not consume energy and can achieve a stable balance while ignoring transformation efficiency. However, due to the complicated control measures and high manufacturing cost of feedback design, this charging head adopts an energy-consuming design.

  Since the AC resistance, polarization voltage, and maximum usable volume are the actual parameters of the battery, the SOC of the battery does not change basically during one or several consecutive battery charging processes, so the lithium battery pack Balancing is important and is accomplished by regulating the SOC of each individual rechargeable battery. Through scientific research, it is determined that SOC is used as the balance reference target and the balance target is relatively fixed, the balance time is fully utilized, the balance utilization rate is increased, and the balance volume is reduced.

  Using the SOC of the rechargeable battery as the control indicator, and charging the independent rechargeable battery, the difference between the SOC and the rechargeable battery is reduced. The first is to clarify the balance target and set it as the average state of concentration (SOC) of the lithium battery pack to improve the balance efficiency and make full use of the advantages of battery charge balance; in addition, a balance control zone is set (dSOC), the charge and discharge balance is carried out for the unit with higher SOC, and the battery charge balance is carried out for the opposite unit.

  Generally, the key balancing charging technologies of lithium battery packs include stable separation resistance, short-circuit separation resistance, average voltage balancing charging, switch capacitor balancing charging, blood pressure reducing SPWM balancing charging, inductor balancing charging, etc. When charging integrated lithium batteries in series, each battery should be charged evenly, otherwise the performance and service life of the entire set of batteries will be affected during use.
