The fermentation technology is undertaken by the Shandong Food Fermentation Industry Research and Design Institute. The project started with basic work and successfully bred the high-yield itaconic acid mutant HA6080. The detailed research determined the process technology route of the strain to produce itaconic acid by fermentation with corn starch as raw material. The small-scale test, pilot test, production test and industrialization work were completed, and the first starch raw material itaconic acid production line in China was built. The research has made breakthrough progress in the acid production rate, conversion rate and product quality control of the strain. Experts believe that the main technical indicators and product quality indicators have reached the international advanced level. The itaconic acid production bacteria Aspergillus terreus (A.terreus) HA6080 bred in this study has greatly improved the acid production rate, conversion rate and high sugar resistance and pollution resistance of the strain through condition optimization. The research adopts the "intermediate feeding, partial neutralization" process to effectively extend the acid production peak period, greatly increase the acid production rate, and shorten the fermentation cycle. Adopt technical measures such as mycelium reuse to improve raw material utilization and sugar-acid conversion rate and reduce product costs. Adopt the extraction process combining direct crystallization and ion exchange to improve extraction yield, efficiency and product quality. And improve the product grade by improving the refining equipment, so that all product indicators reach the international advanced level. The average sugar-acid conversion rate of the 50 cubic fermentation tank production test is more than 65%, the acid production is 7.0-7.5%, the fermentation cycle is about 60 hours, and the extraction recovery rate is more than 80%.

 

Itaconic acid is a high-tech, high-profit, and foreign exchange-earning product, and is an important chemical industry raw material. At present, only a few countries in the world can produce it. Itaconic acid and its esters are industrial raw materials for producing acrylic fiber, synthetic resin, plastic, rubber, medicine, pesticide, pesticide intermediate, surfactant and plastic additive. Because it contains a saturated double bond and two active carboxyl groups in the molecule, the double bond and carboxyl group are in a conjugated relationship, which makes itaconic acid extremely active in chemical synthesis. In addition to self-polymerization, it can also be polymerized with different numbers of other monomers, making it widely used in chemical synthesis industry. This technology is one of the major biotechnology achievements successfully developed in my country in recent years. It has been industrialized in Shandong Zhongshun Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Langyatai Wine Group, forming an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of itaconic acid. The products are sold to more than 20 countries and regions such as Japan, the United States, and India. The product quality is well received by foreign customers. By the end of December 2000, the cumulative output value had reached 150 million yuan, the profit and tax had reached 80 million yuan, and the foreign exchange earned had reached 17 million US dollars.

It has the remarkable characteristics of low voltage (3.6V), high specific energy (110Wh/Kg, 270Wh/L), long cycle life (>500 times), low self-discharge rate (monthly capacity drop <10%), no memory effect, no environmental pollution, etc. Therefore, the performance of this battery is much better than that of nickel-cadmium batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries. It has been widely used in small electronic products such as mobile phones, notebook computers, cameras, and will be used as a power source for electric vehicles and satellites. It is currently generally believed to be the product with the most application prospects in the 21st century. The main performance indicators of the typical product ICR18650 lithium-ion battery of this project are: rated capacity (production finalization, 1998); >1500mAh (production product, 1999); 180ftnAh (200Q); >2mnAh (2001); rate characteristics: 1C discharge capacity > 90% of nominal capacity; 2C discharge capacity 5 = 80% of nominal capacity; cycle life, 500 times; temperature characteristics: -20 capacity: > 90% of nominal capacity; 6 (: capacity: nominal capacity; charge retention capacity, 90%; safety: short circuit, overcharge, thermal shock, impact: no fire, no explosion; acupuncture, incineration: no explosion. The experts participating in the acceptance review unanimously agreed that: The performance of the above products of the project is at the advanced level of similar international products, especially the low-temperature -20 performance is higher than the level of Japanese products.

 

It was the first lithium-ion battery production line with advanced equipment at that time, and the lithium-ion battery production line of Lishen Company built in early 1999 was the first automated lithium-ion battery production line in my country at that time, and its level was close to the level of Canada MoLi Company at the end of 1997.

 

The main innovations of this achievement are: designing a battery cover with independent intellectual property rights (utility model patent), achieving a safe double insurance function; proposing new materials and formulas, finding a technical way to increase battery capacity, and successfully applying it; studying new laser spot welding instead of resistance welding.

 

Ensure the reliability and low resistance requirements of positive pole ear welding; study the electrolyte formula with additives to ensure the smoothness of battery filling. The performance of the battery (especially the low temperature performance is better than foreign products, suitable for special applications), and ensure the safety of the battery under overcharge abuse conditions; propose a sealing method without sealant, simplify the process, and ensure the sealing requirements. Independently designed the slurry equipment, established its own powder screening, mixing, iron removal, slurry making process and quality control technology; developed precision metering vacuum filling technology with an accuracy of ±1%, ensuring the uniformity of battery performance; independently developed a series of supporting equipment, such as semi-automatic winding machines, groove rolling machines, sealing machines and corresponding tooling molds more than 1 Kit (semi-automatic winding machine has applied for utility model patent); in production, a set of effective battery post-processing methods has been formulated to ensure the performance of the factory batteries; in accordance with the requirements of the US UL standard, a set of battery safety test methods and test equipment has been established and the software has been developed independently, which realizes the rapid collection of battery voltage, temperature, current and other data in the five safety tests of overcharge, short circuit, hot box, puncture and impact, and the safety test curve is drawn by computer.

 

This research has realized the industrialization of science and technology, promoted the development of domestic machining industry, chemical industry and materials industry, promoted the upgrading of domestic communication industry, and laid a good technical foundation for the modernization of special communication equipment in my country.
