What is the recycling process for polymer lithium battery?
UPS power battery recycling process
1. Transport the used polymer lithium battery to the smelting plant warehouse using special environmentally friendly vehicles;
2. Pour the electrolyte from used lead-acid batteries into the sedimentation tank for drug treatment;
3. Dismantle the used lead-acid batteries and send the shells to plastic recycling plants for professional processing;
4. Sort the separators of used polymer lithium battery and send them to professional factories for recycling;
5. Send the sorted waste plates to a large reverberatory furnace for smelting and make lead ingots for recycling;
6. The wastewater generated during the smelting process flows into the sedimentation tank and is treated with the electrolyte together with the electrolyte;
Problems with battery recycling
First, the recycling system has not yet been formed. At present, most power batteries have not been retired, and no effective cooperation mechanism has been established between automobile production, battery production, comprehensive utilization and other enterprises. At the same time, in terms of implementing the extended producer responsibility system, relevant legal support needs to be further refined and improved;
Second, recycling technology capabilities are insufficient. At present, the company's technical reserves are insufficient, and key common technologies and equipment such as power battery ecological design, cascade utilization, and efficient extraction of valuable metals need to be broken through. There is a lack of standards for discharge, storage and echelon utilization products of decommissioned power batteries;
Third, incentive policies and measures provide little protection. Affected by technology and scale, recycling valuable metals in the current market has low returns and poor economics. Relevant fiscal and tax incentive policies are incomplete, and a market-oriented recycling mechanism has not yet been established.
Used polymer lithium battery cannot be discarded casually. Used batteries must be properly disposed of to greatly increase the recycling rate of used UPS batteries, extend the service life of the batteries, and reduce the number of used batteries.
