　　The new company, jointly invested by Nippon NGK, Totoko, Nippon Special Ceramics, and Noritake Co., Ltd., is scheduled to be established on December 1. Set up an office at the Komaki Factory of Nippon Special Ceramics (located in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture) and engage in the research and development, manufacturing and sales of solid oxide hydrogen fuel cells. Details such as legal representative and capital contribution ratio will be finalized in the future. The number of employees is expected to be 50 to 100.

Solid oxide fuel cells use hydrogen to generate electricity without emitting carbon dioxide and have low environmental impact. On the other hand, it was difficult to achieve mass production, and Toto abolished the relevant professional departments about two years ago.
