Currently, wireless charging technology is competing with traditional wired charging systems for charging speed and efficiency. Although wireless charging equipment at this stage is mainly aimed at home users or electric buses, it will gradually be extended to all types of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and even self-driving cars in the future.
At this stage, the scale of the wireless electric vehicle charging (WEVC) market is still very limited, mainly coming from secondary market consumption after consumers purchase cars and a small number of electric bus purchase contracts. In order to promote the popularization of this technology, at least one major car manufacturer must step forward and take the lead in supporting wireless charging technology 100%. We expect this to occur around 2023, mainly due to cost parity between different EV and engine models, as well as competition among various automakers.
