Lithium and common lithium battery cells on the market are divided into ternary cells and lithium iron phosphate, so solar street light lithium batteries Use ternary batteries or lithium iron phosphate? Which one has the advantages?
1. Ternary lithium-ion battery
So if you want your solar lights to be brighter
It has little temperature damage, is resistant to low temperatures, and can be used in sub-zero low temperature environments.
However, compared with the service life of lithium iron phosphate batteries, the frequency of the circulation system is shorter. In addition, the safety factor and reliability are poor, and the lithium-ion battery electrolyte and carbon materials in rechargeable batteries will dissolve at high temperatures and become slightly flammable, causing combustion and explosion.
2. Lithium iron phosphate battery
Battery charging characteristics, electrical characteristics, circulation system frequency, long service life, good reliability and other advantages. In the event of impact, needle puncture, short circuit failure, it is not easy to release oxygen molecules, not easy to cause strong combustion, and has a high safety factor.
Performance is greatly affected by temperature, especially in ultra-low temperature natural environments, the charge and discharge capabilities and capacity will be greatly reduced, and the energy is relatively low.
In short, both ternary 18650 lithium ion battery cell and lithium phosphate batteries have their own advantages and disadvantages. So far, they haven't been able to decide which one has more advantages. Ternary 18650 lithium ion battery cell have some advantages, but at least they are not the ultimate solution yet. If installed in the north, ternary 18650 lithium ion battery cell are recommended for use because of their strong low temperature resistance. If it is installed in the southern region, solar street lights using lithium iron phosphate batteries are more cost-effective.
