  Disposable lithium batteries, also known as primary lithium batteries, come in various types and sizes, each with distinct energy capacities tailored to different applications. The energy of a battery is typically measured in watt - hours (Wh), which is calculated by multiplying the battery's voltage by its capacity in ampere - hours (Ah). The energy levels of disposable lithium batteries can vary significantly based on their chemistry, physical dimensions, and intended use cases.

  One of the most common types of disposable lithium batteries is the lithium - manganese dioxide (Li - MnO₂) battery. These batteries usually have a nominal voltage of 3V, which is higher than the 1.5V of traditional alkaline batteries. In terms of capacity, small coin - cell Li - MnO₂ batteries, often used in devices like watches, calculators, and key fobs, can have capacities ranging from as low as 5mAh to around 200mAh. They have a nominal voltage of about 1.5V, similar to alkaline batteries, but offer higher energy densities. AA - sized Li - FeS₂ batteries can have capacities of around 2500mAh to 3500mAh, resulting in an energy range of 3.75Wh to 5.25Wh. These batteries are often used in high - drain devices like digital cameras, handheld gaming consoles, and LED flashlights, providing longer - lasting power compared to traditional alkaline batteries.
