Lithium battery control function
The control function mainly refers to charging and discharging control, as well as power balance function.
Charging/discharging control refers to the control of turning off the charging or discharging switch once protection occurs, and the control function of turning on or off the power device MOS in the circuit.
Electricity balance can be divided into passive balance and active balance. The currently mature technology is generally passive balance, which adjusts different series voltages through resistor discharge. 4. Power SOC
SOC (State of Charge) generally refers to the percentage of remaining battery life, which reminds users of their battery life. There are many strategies for SOC, and the more mature technologies are ampere hour integration method, ampere hour integration plus voltage correction method, Kalman filtering method, etc.
The SOC algorithm generally needs to be adjusted based on the characteristics of the battery itself, as the charging and discharging curves of different batteries have certain differences. In addition, there are significant differences in temperature, discharge rate, and internal resistance.
5. Communication function
Communication is the transmission of collected battery information to the host through a communication interface. The main communication interfaces are mainly wired interfaces, such as UART/RS232/RS485/CAN, etc. Among them, RS485 and CAN are the most commonly used due to their differential transmission, long transmission distance, and high reliability.
With the popularization of mobile Internet, wireless interfaces are also becoming more and more popular. For example, Bluetooth, GPRS/4G/5G are also increasingly used in lithium battery systems.
