Safety protection technologies for lithium - ion battery packs are of paramount importance to prevent potential hazards such as overheating, thermal runaway, fire, and explosion, which can endanger both human safety and property. One of the key safety protection technologies is thermal management. Lithium - ion batteries are sensitive to temperature changes, and excessive heat can lead to a rapid degradation of battery performance and pose significant safety risks. Thermal management systems typically include heat sinks, cooling fans, and liquid - cooling channels. Heat sinks are used to dissipate heat generated during battery operation by increasing the surface area available for heat transfer.
