Compared with 90-120Wh/kg of lithium iron phosphate, this performance is more friendly to lightweight design and more convenient. It is suitable for the current demand for cruising range in the new energy passenger vehicle market.

  Technical ways to improve the specific energy of power ternary lithium batteries

  1. Process progress has been made, but now the battery process design is relatively mature, and there is not much room to improve the specific energy of the battery;

  2. The improvement of material performance is limited by its own physical and chemical properties. Lithium-ion power batteries using lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium as the positive electrode and carbon materials as the negative electrode are difficult to make major breakthroughs in energy density;

  3. New materials and new systems, that is, the development of new materials with high specific energy and the development of new systems for power ternary lithium batteries are the main ways to significantly increase the specific energy of power batteries in the future.
