Low Pressure Evacuation Vent for Battery Packs), which can provide pure electric vehicles and battery packs in the future. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (BEV/PHEV) provide flexibility when designing battery packs. Gore's low-pressure vents provide greater freedom in battery pack design by solving problems inherent in lithium-ion battery components and battery packs.

First of all, the new vent has a flexible membrane to support a lower opening pressure, and also has an overpressure bypass function that can reverse overpressure, ensuring that the pressure difference can be quickly released under normal and severe operating conditions of the battery, otherwise The lightweight battery casing can deform or even cause sealing failure, enabling effective management of overpressure conditions associated with thermal runaway of individual cells or battery modules. Finally, Gore's battery pack low-pressure vent technology is highly reliable and durable, promoting cell pressure balancing and providing critical protection from water, dirt and dust.
Other protective solutions are designed to release pressure once and for all when the battery reaches specified overpressure. This one-time pressure relief creates an opening in the battery pack that can allow moisture or other debris to enter the battery, potentially causing electrical problems such as battery failure and heat transfer. New Gore battery pack low-voltage vent technology combines innovative technology with a waterproof design to enable lighter batteries while also protecting cells operating in harsh environmental conditions.
