　　Two main reasons for lithium battery fire and explosion

　　Lithium batteries mainly rely on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes to achieve the entire process of charging and discharging. In principle, the most basic key factors that cause lithium battery explosions actually include overcharging and short circuits. Let's take a detailed look together below.

　　One major reason for lithium battery fire and explosion: overcharging

　　Overcharging generally occurs during the entire charging process of lithium batteries. Due to the common resistance of batteries, a large amount of heat is accumulated during the charging process. The protective device in lithium batteries can provide varying degrees of protection against overcharging by checking the voltage.

　　However, when the overcharge time is too long and the voltage continues to be too high, dendrite short circuits are prone to occur inside the lithium-ion battery, causing the temperature and pressure of the battery to continue to rise, thereby posing a risk of explosion and fire.

　　The second leading cause of lithium battery fire and explosion: short circuit caused by over discharge

　　Short circuits generally occur during the use of lithium batteries, where the battery's temperature continues to rise while maintaining regular heat dissipation.

　　If the battery temperature is too high due to external factors, it is easy to cause damage to the battery separator, resulting in a short circuit and excessive internal heat accumulation, leading to a chain reaction and self ignition of the battery.
