　　There are two concepts for the lifespan of batteries: "dry storage lifespan" and "wet storage lifespan". The longer the wet storage life, the better the battery performance. Among the commonly used batteries, cadmium nickel batteries have a wet shelf life of 2-3 years, lead-acid batteries have a lifespan of 3-5 years, lithium-ion batteries have a lifespan of 5-8 years, and zinc silver batteries have the shortest lifespan of only about 1 year.
