CR1625 battery.Gansu establishes automotive battery recycling technology innovation alliance

　　On May 8, the Gansu New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Recycling Industry Technology Innovation Alliance, approved by the Gansu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, was officially established. The establishment of the alliance will help build a complete power battery recycling system and information correlation system in our province, promote the full life cycle operation and management of power batteries in our province, and promote efficient utilization and harmless recycling of power batteries. According to reports, the main tasks of the alliance are to explore new models of new energy consumption according to local conditions, strengthen the integrated development of new energy, and build a national base for the entire industry chain of new energy vehicles and power battery recycling to form a highly economical, diversified, and replicable industry. The recycling model will accelerate the formation of a recycling industry system for new energy vehicle power and energy storage batteries, and promote the transformation and upgrading of resource-based cities and enterprises in our province. After the alliance is established, it will establish and improve waste battery recycling channels, discuss and formulate local systems, specifications, and standards related to battery recycling, build an information traceability system and online trading platform, and explore new market-oriented business models. By uniting relevant parties in the new energy power battery recycling industry chain in our province, we will form an industrial chain cooperation mechanism, improve the collaborative innovation system, and concentrate our efforts to break through the common and key technical issues that restrict the development of the power battery recycling industry. On the morning of the same day, the Gansu Province new energy vehicle power battery cascade utilization demonstration project and the Lanshi Heavy Equipment and Lanshi Lantuo energy storage microgrid projects started. The project is expected to have a total investment of 63 million yuan, and will build a factory rooftop photovoltaic power station with a total power generation capacity of 10 MW, coupled with an energy storage system with a total capacity of 3.5 MWh. After the project is completed, it will serve as a demonstration and promotion for the recycling and utilization of new energy vehicle power batteries in our province.
