  The Helmholtz Institute in Ulm, Germany, and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology are jointly developing magnesium-based energy storage technology.   The Helmholtz Institute in Ulm collaborates with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the German Special Space Center on the E-MAGIC project to carry out research and design of electrochemical concepts for magnesium batteries.
